The competition is for a small extension of the High Desert Regional Health Center(HDRHC). The site is on its current adjacent parking plot in the City of Lancaster. The facility is multi-functional and meant to combat mental health issues, especially among the youth and communities with disadvantages.

The project is very sensitive to budget and environmental impact, because of its nature of operation. Mental health issues can happen to anyone at any time in all levels of conditions. We want the patients to be taken care of while shielded from each other. Also, we need to eliminate any negative impact on the neighbors in daily operations.

So, the Intended separation and hedging, efforts of simplifying structure and building materials are being focused throughout the design process.
