The 3.2-acre site consists of two plots in Downtown San Diego's prime location. the State of California awarded the site to DGS and the City of San Diego to develop affordable housing to combat the state's housing shortage.
TMO Teamed up with CarrierJohnson to propose a twin-tower solution, with the west tower dedicated entirely to affordable housing and the east tower as a market-rate apartment. With a 10-minute walking distance and proximity to Little Italy, the project has a great opportunity to be successful.
The project will provide 741 market-rate units and 694 affordable units. 28,000sf retail space, 7,000sf public office/amenity space, and 16,000sf private amenity space. In addition, the two podium tops will host 60,000sf outdoor spaces with swimming pools, Jacuzzis, BBQ areas, and dog-run spaces, providing a healthy living style to all the residences.
